Grab your besties and get a little muddy during Girls Day on the Pottery Wheel at Clay Corner, our dedicated clay studio inside Practically Pikasso! Whether you’re celebrating something special or just overdue for a creative catch-up, this Sunday session is the perfect mix of relaxing and ridiculously fun.

You’ll learn the basics of wheel throwing (no experience needed!) and make two pottery pieces to keep. We’ll glaze your creations in the color of your choice, and they’ll be ready for pickup in about two weeks.

Heart Bowl Wheel Workshop

Adult Clay

Learn to make a heart-shaped bowl on the pottery wheel with guidance from our experienced instructors! You'll get hands-on practice centering 2 pounds of clay and learning the basics of wheel throwing step by step. After your session, we'll let your bowl dry and fire it in our kiln before glazing it in the color of your choice. Your finished bowl will be dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe. Finished bowls will be ready for pick up in 14 days.

Perfect for ages 12 and up.

This workshop is held in our spacious studio. Feel free to bring drinks, including beer and wine (21+). We recommend arriving 10 minutes early to get comfortable.

Bowled Over: 4 Week Pottery Wheel

Get ready to bowl them over. Literally.

Join us for a 4-week Pottery Wheel Class focused entirely on the art of making bowls! From cereal bowls to ramen-worthy creations, you’ll learn everything from clay prep to wheel technique to glazing—all in a relaxed, supportive setting.

🌀 No experience needed—just bring a towel and a can-do attitude.
🎨 You’ll create at least 4 functional bowls across the 4 weeks.
🎯 Each session includes demos, hands-on wheel time, and 1-on-1 coaching.

Morning 4 Week Pottery Wheel

This 4-week adult course will be an introduction to wheel thrown ceramics. Within this once-a-week course, this class will learn how to create functional ceramics on a potters wheel. The class will begin with learning how to center clay, create basic forms, and gain comfort with the equipment. We will progress into more difficult forms and more advanced throwing techniques as students build confidence with the material. As the pieces dry the students will learn trimming techniques to refine and finish their work. Projects will include making functional ware from start to finish such as cups, mugs and bowls. Includes clay and firing.  All levels welcome- ages 16 and up. This course can be taken more than once! Meets Mondays in September from 930A - 1130A (starting 9/8)

Toddler Tuesday: The Leaf Thief

The Leaf Thief is a funny story that teaches kids about autumn, adapting to change, and the seasons. Following the story we will paint a pottery piece inspired by the book.

Squirrel loves counting the leaves on his tree―red leaves, gold leaves, orange, and more. But hold on! One of his leaves is missing! On a quest to find the missing leaf, Squirrel teams up with his good friend Bird to discover who the leaf thief could be among their forest friends. Recommended for ages 18 months to 6 years. All ages welcome

We will provide you with step by step instructions layering amazing glazes (these are special and are not on our shelves for walk in painting) just like the picture or other options too. Join us to make a hand built clay pumpkin perfect for your fall decor! Each student will create three pumpkins. This program is designed for beginners and no prior art skills are needed. Clay pumpkins will need to go into the kiln twice. After the first firing you can return to paint your pumpkin at no additional charge. Workshop for ages 13+. Class fee includes all clay, use of tools, two firings and pottery glazes.
