This 4-week adult course will be an introduction to wheel thrown ceramics. Within this once-a-week course, this class will learn how to create functional ceramics on a potters wheel. The class will begin with learning how to center clay, create basic forms, and gain comfort with the equipment. We will progress into more difficult forms and more advanced throwing techniques as students build confidence with the material. As the pieces dry the students will learn trimming techniques to refine and finish their work. Projects will include making functional ware from start to finish such as cups, mugs and bowls. Includes clay and firing.  All levels welcome- ages 16 and up. This course can be taken more than once! Meets Wednesdays in June from 630-830P

Salt and pepper shakers are found in almost everyone’s kitchen. Along with the utilitarian function, an interesting salt and pepper set can also serve as a focal point on a table. Learn how to craft your own set with carry caddy during our step by step hand building workshop.
Ages 16 and up only please.

Our resident clay artist will guide you step by step to create your own clay succulent dish.  Instructor will demonstrate how to create a variety of succulents so that you can make a piece that is uniquely you. They will dry for 10 days and be fired to bisque, then you can come back and paint them on your own schedule.  They look amazing with our specialty glazes! **Workshop is approx 1.5 hours in length and recommended for ages 13+

Students should have taken at least one Beginner Wheel Workshop This course can be taken more than once!

Hand build your own berry colander bowl out of stoneware clay. after initial firing guests will return to the studio on their own schedule to glaze their piece. Perfect for summer fruit and salads!
